Midwifery Services
At Eden’s Garden Midwifery, we recognize that families desire more than clinical care, they seek a birth experience that honors both the physical and spiritual significance of welcoming new life. Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that birth is a natural, God-designed process that thrives when supported with wisdom, reverence, and steadfast dedication to your family’s unique needs.
Prenatal Visits
From your first visit through delivery, we provide thorough, personalized prenatal care and home birth. Our comprehensive approach includes nutritional counseling, educational support, and evidence-based monitoring to ensure both mother and baby thrive throughout pregnancy. We provide hour-long prenatal visits with the midwife, where we will discuss nutrition, the physiological changes happening during pregnancy, the birthing process, postpartum recovery and answer any questions your family may have. Our Midwife follows the typical OB schedule for prenatal visits:
Monthly visits until 28 weeks
20 week anatomy scan performed by professional ultrasonographer and reviewed by radiologist
Biweekly visits from 28 weeks through 36 weeks
Weekly visits from 36 weeks until your baby is born (during your 36 week appointment we support mother in creating a birth plan to support your desired birth)
*During the first visit all clients are screened using Risk Criteria and ensure they are low risk and qualify for out of hospital birth.
Each prenatal visit will include:
Checking vital signs (blood pressure and weight gain)
Discuss your nutrition and activities
Check your baby’s growth, position and heart rate
Obtain blood samples for testing, as needed
Client, family, and midwife bonding
